FRANKA begins a series of stories about the character Killian Branoc that played a role in my Vampires Of Livix trilogy. He is a special Vampire Investigator tied in with the shadowy VBA department, a wide-ranging quasi-governmental group that solves intricate issues facing both the vampire and human communities. His character is a bit of many thriller protagonists but also his own animal – he has a history that he is not proud of and keeps much of it locked away except under stress. The monster Franka is a challenge for him and an interesting mash up of vampires and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, a cunning creature that frightens the vampires.
